There is currently a scarcity of orange juice across the world – we are, at this moment, in a very difficult situation, as orange juice is at the lowest availability for more than 50 years,

This severe shortage is due to crop failures in Florida and historically low juice inventories in Brazil. With extreme weather becoming more frequent & tree diseases diminishing harvest yields, price increases are expected.

Suppliers and manufacturers are working hard to manage the situation to limit these shortages but realistically this situation could be with us for a while.

British Fruit Juice Association Celebrating the British fruit & vegetable juice industry...

The British Fruit Juice Association (BFJA) represents the interests of those who utilise fruit juice within the United Kingdom. Founded in 1941 by the then Ministry of Food, our role was to ensure the continued supply of high quality juices. Since this time, the organisation has evolved considerably.

The BFJA now provides a focal point for knowledge-sharing, networking, up-skilling and resource-sharing amongst businesses working in the juice industry.  The BFJA’s membership is diverse, consisting of fruit juice importers, contract packers, transport and storage professionals, blenders, fruit and vegetable processors, category managers, new product developers, distributors, juice creators and those that bring risk management services to the industry. The BFJA represents businesses who are involved across the entire supply chain of fruit juices that are both large, small and anything in-between, including a number of start-ups.
